Falsifying Financial Data

Supportive Housing Management Services (SHMS)  has audited my account eight times, beginning in June 2020. The amount past due is different in six of those audits. Only June and July 2024 are for the same amount.

  1. October 23, 2020: Late Notice for $852.
  2. June 28, 2021: Late Notice for $1,288.
  3. August 31, 2022: 30 Day Notice to Quit $2,170 for five months past due.
  4. December 15, 2022: $2,629.
  5. February 15, 2023: $1,157.
  6. January 10, 2024: 30 Day Notice to Quit  $691 for 1+ months.
  7. April 9, 2024: 30 Day Notice to Quit for $774 for 2.5 months
  8. June 24, 2024: $774.
  9. July 8, 2024: $1,277.

October 23, 2020, for $852 – 1st Late Notice.

June 28, 2021 for $1,288 past due – 2nd Late Notice.

I received two late notices: the first for $852 past due on October 23, 2020, and the second for $1,288 past due on June 28, 2021. On both occasions, I sent the property manager copies of canceled checks, and she said that the Late Notices were sent by mistake.

August 31, 2022, for $2,107 past due – 1st Eviction notice.

The first 30-day Notice to Quit arrived on August 31, 2022, for $2,170 past due. SHMS has never provided a ledger where I can verify that I owe them $2,170.

January 17, 2023, Ledger missing 38 months of transactions.

I received a copy of my accounting ledger on January 17, 2023. However, the payments made between June 21, 2018, and August 31, 2021, are missing. This leaves a gap of 38 months with unaccounted transactions.

January 10, 2024, $691 past due – 2nd Eviction notice.

In January 2024, I emailed the property manager, Reonna Hewlett, to inform her that my bank account had been compromised and that my rent payment would be a few days late. Her immediate reaction was to issue a 30-day Notice to Quit for $691, “which represents 1+ months in unpaid rent.”

After paying the rent the following day, the actual past-due amount was $188.

March 13, 2024 refunds.

The 3rd eviction notice was issued on April 9, 2024, after Reonna Hewlett issued two refunds on April 4, 2024, one for $503 and the second for $265.

December 15, 2022, for $2,629 – 1st reminder letter.

On December 15, 2022, the past due was $2,629; on February 15, 2023, it decreased to $1,157. I believe that Catholic Charities donated $1,472 to my account. Neither SHMS nor Catholic charities will give me any details about the contribution.

Insert 3rd reminder   $774

On July 8, 2024, Reonna Hewlett requested that I sign a Tenant Repayment Plan. I informed her that I couldn’t commit to any amount until I had consulted with an attorney.
