The first attorney to contact SHMS was Attorney Bill Bickerton. Working on a pro-bono basis, he called Holly Cavanaugh twice requesting information about the first eviction notice. She never returned his calls.
Since I’m not eligible for free legal aid, I contacted the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s office in September of 2022.

Attorney Hunt of Fiffik Law Group (an affiliate of Legal Sheild) was the third attorney to request information about my account.
“In order to assess the entirety of Miss Pierce’s financial situation, I am asking that you provide me with a full accounting for each year of Miss Pierce’s tenancy.”

He responded to Attorney Hunt’s letter and ignored her request saying,
“We do not need a reasonable accommodation request or a lawyer to agree to a repayment plan…”
